Note

The “Thank You” Page will be automatically shown if you have choosen “Single Optin” within your email marketing provider settings.

If you use “Double Optin” you can use this page as well for the last step of the The Double Opt-in Process. All you have to do is configuring your Email Marketing Provider to use it as a custom Thank You Page. If you are not sure how to set up your email marketing provider to use your own custom thank you page, review the relevant section of the Email Marketing Provider Category.

The “Thank You” Page shows up after a visitor has enters their email anywhere on your page and is successfully added to your email list.

If you use a The Double Opt-in Process this page is shown after the subscribers confirms their email by clicking on the link in your confirmation email. (Unfortunately you need to set this up with your email marketing provider first to have it work properlly).

You can edit the settings for your Thank You Page within the respective WordPress Customizer Section.

Depending on your email marketing provider, this settings section can have two different parts. One for completely new subscribers and one for known subscribers.

What’s the difference? If you have set up several post specific bonuses it will probabbly happen that the same user subscribes various time to your email list. If the subscriber is already subscribed he will see a different thank you page that recognizes him.

So the first part of the page is for completely new subscribers and the second part of the page is to show a different message to subscribers who are already subscribed.

Unfortunately not all Email Marketing Provider give us the option to check first if a subscriber has already been subscribed before, so the option to show a different headline and text for already known subscribers may not be available for you.

Tip

The Thank You Page is together with the Confirmation and the Welcome Gate a “Growtheme internal Page”. That means that it will not show up within your WordPress Pages, to prevent users from accidentially deleting them. You can only edit the content, the permalink and any other settings related to these pages within the respective section in the WordPress Customizer.

You have the following Options

Download Shortcode

Depending on your Email Marketing Provider, it is important that you include inside your custom text the [download] shortcode.

This shortcodes created the download button in case a user subscribes through a Post Specific Bonus.

Note

If the user subscribes through a opt-in form without a bonus no download button will be shown. The same is true if your Email Marketing Provider allows to set up custom confirmation / thank you emails depending on the optin form. Than you can send the Download via email instead of showing a Download Button on the Thank You Page.

You can edit the permalink to anything you like, as long as it is a valid URL. This is especially helpful if you want to use the Growtheme in a different language or if you are using other plugins/pages that have the same name.

You can click on the link to be taken to your Thank You Page.
